The Mid-Autumn Festival is the second most important traditional festival in China (the most important one is Chinese New Year). It's a family day in China like Thanksgiving. In 2019 it takes place on Friday September 13th. On the 15th of the eighth lunar month, the moon is at its roundest and brightest, symbolizing togetherness and reunion in Chinese culture. There are many traditions and celebrations to this big family reunion day. One of the most common and representative traditions is eating mooncakes. The round traditional mooncake is a symbol of family reunion, and the cake is sliced into pieces to share with the whole family. This year, we will make a non-baked snow skin mooncakes alone with Chinese loose leaf tea to celebrate this holiday. Join us for free!
