Playing Flute Between The River & Mountain
Playing Flute Between The River & Mountain
We found this playful tea tray at a weekend teaware market in Jingdezhen, China. It was handmade and painted by an artist known for her cat, fish, and crane-themed pottery. We will carry more tea trays and teacups from her in the near future. All of her handmade pieces are marked by her own logo(“豆“).
This round tea tray features a creamy white glaze with a whimsical image of a cat blowing flute between the river and mountains. We especially like the creative pattern design of this tea tray. It provides plenty of room for a gaiwan or teapot and a teacup.
Check out all teaware made by the artist here.

Additional Information:
It’s food safe, of course. And also dishwasher safe. However, I strongly recommend that you wash and dry it by hand, and use it gently. It’s safe to use on an open flame, gas or electric stove-top. And try to avoid alternating hot and cold, which could cause cracking.
