Old Tree Ya Shi Xiang

from $7.00

Harvested in April, 2025. These medium-roasted, dark, twisted tea leaves were skillfully hand-picked from 100 year-old single tea bushes at a high altitude (over 800 meters) in April, 2025. Thanks to the fertile red soil, humidity, and altering temperatures, this tea releases a noticeably bright and fruity aroma.

No rinsing is required. 6 - 8 grams of tea is suggested to put into your gaiwan (100 - 110 ml). Steep with boiling hot water (100℃/ 212℉) for 3 seconds. It can be steeped 10 - 13 times. After the initial steeping, add 3-6 seconds to your brewing time compensate for the cooling water.

The fragrance and taste of this Old Tree Ya Shi Xiang demonstrates the value of tea made from older trees. The deeper roots that come with age are responsible for the tea's complex aroma; Ranging from mulled nectarines, cherries, and honey to aged wood and creamy macadamia nuts. Subtle at first, this tea begins with the flavors of green orchids, almond milk, caramelized nectarines, and dark woods. Around the fourth infusion the leaves reveal their full potency, unleashing a new level of sweetness along with the bitter fruitiness of a high quality dark chocolate. You will discover new aspects of this full-bodied, balanced, and sophisticated Ya Shi Xiang every time you brew it.

Please note that the tea will be shipped after November 30.
