Handmade by a potter from Jingdezhen, China, these gaiwans feature a glossy cream colored glaze. We particularly like the subtle textured finish, warm beige glaze, and neat shape of this gaiwan. Please note that the lid of these gaiwans sit relatively low in the bowl. It's designed this way prevent you from burning your fingertips. Each of these gaiwans hold approximately 150 ml of liquid.

It’s food safe, of course. And also dishwasher safe. However, I strongly recommend that you wash and dry it by hand, and use it gently. Please do not use on an open flame, gas or electric stove-top. And try to avoid alternating hot and cold, which could cause cracking.
