Handmade by the same potter who creates the egg shell gaiwan in Jingdezhen, China, this round tea tray has depth and will catch drips. Outwardly simplistic with a strong sophistication, the phrase less is more could not ring more true as it features a light gray glaze covered with sporadic carbon trappings, which makes it unique and difficult to recreate as it is dependent upon environmental conditions during firing. The surface of this tea tray is ultra smooth with a matte appearance and is suitable for dry-pour gongfu tea.

It’s food safe, of course. And also dishwasher safe. However, I strongly recommend that you wash and dry it by hand, and use it gently. Please do not use on an open flame, gas or electric stove-top. And try to avoid alternating hot and cold, which could cause cracking.
