Designed by a studio which specializes in creating Han style linen clothing in Suzhou, China, this creamy white shirt uses 70% of cotton and 30% of linen fiber. Classic historical Han clothing is intended to cross over itself diagonally, with the left crossing over the right and discretely secured inside the garment without using any buttons.
Traditionally, the sleeve is meant to be wide. Our designer has modernized the fit of the sleeve to be more slim, keeping with current fashion. Drinking and serving tea has been a long tradition in China for hundreds of years and this style of clothing is often worn during tea ceremonies or in tea houses in China. This is the first “chafu (tea clothing)” that I collected three years ago. When we find out a studio is still making these linen Han-style shirts, we will definitely add them to the products that we offer.
With 70% cotton and 30% linen fabric, it’s extremely comfortable and breathable to wear. Put it on before your tea ceremony, or wear it casually. The texture and thickness of this shirt is particularly suitable in spring and autumn.
Please note that most clothing designed from this studio is a bit smaller than the regular sizes in the U.S., so keep in mind your item will fit on the smaller end. If you are not sure which size to go with, please feel free to contact us.

Care Instructions:
Linen becomes softer and more absorbent after each wash, which is pretty neat. Wash linen on low temperatures in lukewarm or cold, and preferably soft, water. Use the gentle machine cycle and a mild detergent to protect the fibers. Feel free to machine (tumble) dry your linen clothes, as long as you stick to low temperatures. Remove from the dryer when still slightly damp to avoid the linen becoming stiff, and hang or lie flat to finish off the drying process.
Never wash light-colored clothing with dark items to prevent dye transfer.

We accept returns for any reason within 14 days of the purchase date, as long as the item is in its original condition, and the tags have not been removed. Simply contact us via email to initiate the return. Your refund will be processed after we receive the item. Returns must be accompanied by the packing list or receipt. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs.

Once your special order is placed, we will obtain the item from our source in China, and ship it to you as soon at it arrives in the U.S. Delivery estimates are approximately 2 months. If we learn that we are unable to restock the item within 2 months, you will be refunded.
