Pine Tree Skin Texture Silk Comfy Shirt ( Green )

Pine Tree Skin Texture Silk Comfy Shirt ( Green )

$199.00

Designed by a studio which specializes in creating natural fabric fashion in Guangzhou, China, this airy green shirt uses 99% of a very unique wrinkle-textured silk material and 1% polyurethane fiber. The small amount of polyurethane fiber is used to give structure to the shirt. The design was inspired by the spirit of pine tree, which is associated with immortality, steadiness and resilience. This association may be due to the pine tree's successful adaptation to diverse and often harsh environments, as well as their longevity.

The textured fabric was intentionally chosen to emulate bark and pine needles. The oversize design and light-weight fabric make this shirt extremely comfortable to wear. We particularly like the asymmetrical design of the collar. This intentional design immediately stands out from regular tops. Wear it on a warm spring day or a cool summer day. The airy fabric is super breathable and will make you wanna dance in the wind!

Please note that most clothing designed from this studio is a bit smaller than the regular sizes in the U.S., so keep in mind your item will fit on the smaller end (though it’s an oversized design). If you are not sure which size to go with, please feel free to contact us.

Care Instructions:
You’ll want to make sure to do colors separately and read the detergent label before using it on your silk. Words like “suitable for silk” and “delicates” are your best friends when it comes to washing silk by hand. Bleach will damage your silk’s fibers so it’s always a big no. Wash silk on low temperatures in lukewarm or cold, and preferably soft, water. Use the gentle machine cycle and a mild detergent to protect the fibers.

Lay flat to dry. Most wrinkles in silk can simply be steamed out. To avoid ironing, the best solution for your silk is to store it by hanging it in a cool dry place. Silk creases so it’s best not to fold or leave it bunched up for long. If you’re storing your silk for a long period of time then make sure it’s clean and stored in a breathable fabric bag (avoid plastic ones because they lock in moisture). Another tip for long term storing is to store your silk away from the sun to avoid fading the color and weakening the fibre.
