Tongtong's Studio in Yunnan

Visiting artists’ studios is one of our favorite things to do! It’s a unique chance to connect with the mind behind these thoughtfully crafted teaware pieces. What’s even better—we’re always treated to a private tasting of exceptional teas during our visits.

This video shares a glimpse of Tongtong’s gallery studio in Chenggong, Yunnan, China. Her studio is housed in a small village home that has been preserved for nearly 100 years. The wood frame structure remains beautifully intact, and paired with her artisan teaware, the space feels alive with purpose.

We especially love Tongtong’s rough clay teaware series, her wood-fired pieces, and her hand-painted Jianshui teaware. They feel rustic yet delicate, reminding us of a simple, unrushed life.
