Handmade Purple Moonface Teacup

Handmade Purple Moonface Teacup
Handcrafted by ceramic artist Du in Jingdezhen, China, this teacup features a soft purple glaze with a gently textured surface reminiscent of the moon.
Sporadic carbon trapping and peacock-eye patterns emerge across the glaze, creating a dramatic, stormy surface. Each piece is individually wheel-thrown and glazed by hand, so subtle variations in color, texture, shape, size, and pattern naturally occur during firing. These differences make every teacup unique and reflect the beauty of the handmade process.
Its balanced form feels comfortable in the hand and pairs beautifully with the matching Purple Moonface Gaiwan, as well as a variety of other teaware.

Additional Information:
It’s food safe, of course. And also dishwasher safe. However, I strongly recommend that you wash and dry it by hand, and use it gently. Please do not use on an open flame, gas or electric stove-top. And try to avoid alternating hot and cold, which could cause cracking.
